On Friday 17 March, LIFE Grace will be a guest at the final conference of the LIFE PASTORAL project, which will be held in Forte di Bard in Valle d'Aosta.
The event is promoted as part of the three-day conference (March 15-17) entitled “GLOBAL CHALLENGES IN MOUNTAIN AGROPATORAL SYSTEMS – Scientific evidence on impacts, adaptive and policies”. The conference will be attended by policy makers, technicians in the fields of agriculture and communication, farmers and students to share and discuss current and emerging issues related to global changes caused by climate in mountain agro-pastoral systems.
The first day, 15 March, will be dedicated to the conference presenting the LIFE PASTORALP project and the speeches of policy makers and stakeholders. The next day will be dedicated to a scientific conference divided into 4 sessions in which the following topics will be discussed:
- Challenges and opportunities for mapping and modelling agro-pastoral systems
- Challenges and opportunities for mapping and modelling agro-pastoral systems & Climate change impacts, adaptation and mitigation
3 Climate change impacts, adaptation and mitigation
- Governance under global change: the interface between politics and science
The last day will be dedicated to "Project networking", in which several LIFE projects will participate, including the LIFE Grace project represented by Luca Colombo of FIRAB and partner of the project. The day will be full of discussion and exchanges of experiences and best practices from mountain areas across Europe.
