On Sunday 18 June, on the occasion of the WWF Italy Oasis Day and the Organic Farming Day, a guided tour will be promoted by the WWF at the Lago Secco Oasis in Accumoli (RI), located in a Natura 2000 site and within the Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga National Park.
The day will focus on the value of organic farming, as a means for the maintenance of natural environments, the conservation of species and habitats, and the improvement of human health.
The excursion will start at 9.30 and after 2 hours walking through the 'Praterie Pian Mauro' and 'Piano d'Illica', crossing the 'Bosco del Pannicaro' you will reach the Oasis. Once in place, a meeting will be held with researchers, professionals, economic operators, and entrepreneurs in the organic sector.
Among the speakers also Alba Pietromarchi of FIRAB and partner of the LIFE Grace project, who will tell the experience of the LIFE Grace project in the conservation of priority grassland habitats through extensive livestock grazing and will share with the farmers the Code of Conduct, the Co-marketing and grassland monitoring models, produced during the project.
The visit will end with a tasting of organic products from farmers in the area, who have set up stands with their products.
