From the pastures of Lazio to Umbria to conserve habitats

The LIFE Grace project is going on the road to the AgriUmbria fair (https://www.agriumbria.eu/), which will be held at the Umbriafiere (Bastia Umbra) from April 5 to 7, 2024, to build a bridge of experiences and proposals with other Italian breeders.

Next April 7 Grace has organized, through its lead partner, the Regional Agency for Development and Innovation of Agriculture in Lazio (Arsial), a conference on the enhancement of the cow-calf grazing line, as a distinctive element of the environmental value of extensive livestock farming in the Apennines, little conveyed to a consumer increasingly attentive to the sustainability of the meat chain.

The meeting, which follows the one held last March 21 in Rome ( https://lifegrace.eu/it/la-filiera-della-carne/news-ed-eventi/240-la-regione-lazio-a-fianco-di-grace-per-la-natura-e-gli-allevatori ), is aimed at gathering the consensus of producers from several regions on the implementation of the environmental role of grazing in the quality systems of the meat supply chain.

The initiative will be attended by Angelo Frascarelli, Daniela Gigante and Mariano Pauselli, all three professors at the University of Perugia, as well as the referents of the Life Grace project partnership (Prof. Luca Malatesta of La Sapienza University, Dr. Claudio Di Giovannantonio for ARSIAL, Dr. Alba Pietromarchi for FIRAB and journalist Marco Gisotti). Over the course of the morning, the speakers will raise awareness among the public and the media about the importance of extensive livestock farming-increasingly confined to short supply chain models-for preserving the natural environment and protecting consumers.

To attend the event free of charge, which will take place on the morning of April 7, 2024 starting at 10:30 a.m., you must register here: https://www.eventbrite.it/e/convegno-life-grace-tickets-862969835007
