LIFE Grace with Alba Pietromarchi, expert researcher in the supply chain for FIRAB, was a guest on TELEREGIONE in the program WORK AND NOT ONLY, broadcast on 16 April 2024 and dedicated to the profession of the breeder.
During his speech, Alba underlined the important role of the breeder and shepherd in the environmental and socioeconomic recovery of entire areas, often marginalized. Keeping the extensive breeding of local breeds alive, also through co-marketing tools aimed at increasing market opportunities, as well as with agri-environmental policy interventions, but above all encouraging a cognitive approach of young people to this profession, through educational spaces and training, are some of the actions of LIFE Grace. This is confirmed by the success of the Grace laboratories on meat preparation and cutting, attended by the students at the San Benedetto Higher Education Institute, to relaunch the role of farmers as guardians and activators of a healthy local economy. The aim is to encourage employment growth for the sector.
